1. Welcome to Leida

Leida.co.uk is operated by Leida Products Limited (LEIDA), incorporated and registered in England and Wales under company number 0827803 with its registered office at Basepoint Innovation Centre, Great Marlings, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU2 8DL. When we refer to “we”, “us”, “our”, or “ourselves” we mean Leida. Leida and Leida.co.uk are trading names of Leida Products Limited.

2. Orders Placed Online with Leida

a) For orders placed online at www.leida.co.uk, we enter into English language contracts only. When you order a product for sale on the Leida website you enter into a contract with Leida.

b) Once you have submitted and paid for your order, we will immediately send you an e-mail in acknowledgement of your order. This confirms that we have received your order, but is not an acceptance of your order.

c) In the event that an item you have ordered is unavailable, we will let you know as soon as we can and, where payment has already been made, make a refund to your payment method without undue delay.

d) By placing an order, you are promising that all details you provide are true and accurate, that you are over 18 years of age, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds in the account to cover the cost of your order.

e) The Website allows you to check your order and correct any errors before completing a purchase. Please take the time to read and check your order at each page of the order process as you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate (for example, the correct products, quantities, size, colour, etc.).

f) Please note that we sell products only in quantities which correspond to the typical needs of an average household. This applies both to the number of products ordered within a single order and the placing of several orders for the same product where the individual orders comprise a quantity typical for a normal household.

g) Goods returned because they are faulty or incorrect must be received in the condition that you received them. Once your item has been received and inspected a refund or replacement to be sent as necessary within a reasonable time by Leida.

3. Exceptions to the Right of Cancellation

The right of cancellation does not apply to:-

d) the supply of goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised;

e) the supply of goods which may deteriorate or expire rapidly;

f) a service if Leida has fully performed it and you accepted when you place your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not cancel it once delivery had started;

g) the supply of digital content (including apps, digital software, ebooks, MP3, etc) which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you place your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not cancel it once delivery had started;

h) the delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts for the supply of such publications; and

i) the supply of alcoholic beverages whose actual value is dependent on fluctuations in the market which we cannot control.

4. Pricing and Availability

a) All prices are inclusive of legally applicable VAT.

b) We list availability information for products sold by us on the website. Beyond what we say on that page or otherwise on the website, we cannot be more specific about availability. As we process your order, we will inform you by e-mail as soon as possible if any products you order turn out to be unavailable and you will not be charged for those products.

c) Please note that unless otherwise stated on the website, delivery estimates are just that. They are not guaranteed delivery times and should not be relied upon as such.

d) Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalogue may be mispriced. We will verify pricing when processing your order and before we take payment. If we have made a mistake and a product’s correct price is higher than the price on the website, we may either contact you before dispatch to request whether you want to buy the product at the correct price or cancel your order. If a product’s correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and send you the product.

a) Unless expressly indicated otherwise, Leida is not the manufacturer of the products sold on this website. While we work to ensure that product information on our website is correct, actual product packaging and materials may contain more and different information to that displayed on our website. Ingredients may also change. All information about the products on our website is provided for information purposes only. We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented on our website. Please always read labels, warnings and directions provided with the product before use.

b) For healthcare products, in the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product, please carefully read the information provided with the product or contact the manufacturer. Content on this site is not intended to substitute for advice given by a medical practitioner, pharmacist or other licensed healthcare professional. 6. Customs

a) When ordering products from Leida for delivery outside of the UK you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.

b) Additionally, please note that when ordering from Leida, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the products. Your privacy is important to us and we would like our international customers to be aware that cross-border deliveries are from time to time subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

7. Our Liability

Leida and its affiliates will not be responsible for (i) losses that were not caused by any breach on our part, or (ii) any business loss (including loss of profits, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or wasted expenditure), or (iii) any indirect or consequential losses that were not foreseeable to both you and us when the contract for the sale of products by us to you was formed.

8. Force Majeure

Where Leida is prevented from or delayed in carrying out obligations under these Customer Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, governmental actions, war or national emergency, riot, civil commotion, fire, explosion, flood, inclement weather, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labour disputes, or restraints or delays affecting carriers or an inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials then the performance of our obligations shall be postponed for the period of time that the circumstances continue.

9. Alterations to Service or Amendments to the Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to make changes to any Leida policies, including these Terms and Conditions at any time. You will be subject to the terms and conditions and policies in force at the time you use leida.co.uk. If any of these Terms and Conditions are deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

10. Waiver

If you breach these Terms and Conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these Terms and Conditions.

11. Applicable Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
